Following our recent September memorial week when it was so good to catch up with you all, we've decided to start a blog - to keep in touch and share some of our community events and initiatives this way, for those of you online. This will be another hub for our family support and memorial activities too - so we do hope that you will regularly look in and let us know what you think. The blog blows in with autumn - though judging by today, we're in for a week of late sunshine, which I'm sure we could all use.
Josie, our work experience medical student is now settling into her second year at Birmingham University. She had a wonderful and varied work experience - from theatre, to ceremony - and she does warmly thank all of you who welcomed her into your homes. She will be back at Christmas. She begged. We relented. (And she was outstanding!) So the Doctor, as Bill calls her, will be in the house again from mid December and will look forward to welcoming you at our Christmas tribute.
Lastly, as the days get shorter, we do know that each day is a little darker whatever the season - especially for those of you have lost a precious loved one recently. Please be gentle with yourselves and remember that we are here if you need to talk.
More from both of us soon,
Rose & Bill
